Her name was originally Nudge because she would nudge her head toward you for head rubs. And if you stopped rubbing before she was ready, she would very gently take her paw and tap you for more. She was listed on Petfinder in 2009 as a tiny kitten. We adopted her for a playmate for our other cat Angel, who passed in 2015. When Angel passed Spirit became a little distant. But in Spirits elder days she became sweeter and enjoyed laying next to you and LOVED her time on the screened in porch. She kept her head strong spirit until the end though. She was the one to watch out for in the house amongst the other cats. Not to fear, but just respect. She never had a close bond to any other cat we introduced into our household, so I have asked God to let her be reunited with her kitty friend Angel and our dog Kacey that she grew up with. I picture a great reunion among them. Some may not believe pets will be in Heaven, but I like to believe they will be there as a blessing for His children, and because they are His creation. Until we meet again my “Spir-Spir.”
