We celebrate the life of our beloved companion, Lou, who, after 17 and a half beautiful years, has crossed the rainbow bridge. She was more than just a pet—she was a part of our family, a source of unconditional love, and a constant presence of joy and comfort in our lives.

Lou came into our lives when my son, Andre, and I rescued her from the humane society. She was 2 and a half years old then, and from the very first moment, she had a way of brightening up even the darkest days. I remember seeing her for the first time—her eyes were filled with so much spirit and warmth, as if she knew we were meant to find each other. She had this remarkable ability to make everyone around her feel loved, whether through a wag of her tail, a playful nudge, or simply sitting by your side when you needed it the most.

For the 15 wonderful years we had Lou, she filled our lives with laughter, companionship, and endless memories. Whether she was bounding joyfully through the yard, chasing after toys, chasing waves at the beach, or curling up next to us on the couch, she had a way of making every moment special. She taught us the true meaning of loyalty, forgiveness, and living in the present—always ready to greet each day with excitement, no matter what it brought.

She had a gentle soul, but also a playful yet spicy, fearless spirit that never faded with age. Her joy was contagious, and anyone who met her felt it instantly. Lou wasn’t just a dog; she was a friend, a confidant, and a source of comfort through life’s ups and downs. Her presence made the world a better place, not just for Andre and me, but for everyone she came into contact with.

While it’s incredibly hard to say goodbye, we know she lived a full and happy life. She left behind a legacy of love and joy that will remain in our hearts forever. We’re so grateful for every single moment we had with her, and we’ll cherish the memories of our time together for the rest of our lives.

Thank you, Lou, for 15 years of unwavering love, for being there through thick and thin, and for reminding us every day what it means to be truly loved. You will forever be missed, but never forgotten. Until we meet again, our sweet girl.

I had the pleasure of meeting Lou and caring for him while his mom travelled. He was so sweet and fit perfectly into our home. I am so blessed I got to meet Lou and spend the time I was able to have. He will be missed me my so many people.
