To quote your namesake Avon Barksdale “The game ain’t in me no more.”

Barksdale, a beloved Bassett Hound, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, September 13th, 2024. Born on May 24th, 2020, in Mint Hill, NC, at Huggable Bassets, Barksdale brought immeasurable joy to his family and all who knew him.
Barksdale was a true foodie, with a passion for all things delicious (never met a steak and sweet potato combo he didn’t like). He loved car rides, dog parks, the beach, and spending time with his family and fur friends. His playful spirit and infectious enthusiasm made him a cherished companion.
Barksdale is survived by his dog mom Lakota in Washington state, dog father Yorick in coastal North Carolina, and seven siblings throughout the United States. He will be deeply missed by his humans Uniquika, Leon, Le’Nique, and Leyla.

Rest in peace, Barksdale. Your memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved you.
