Bernadette’s loving story began in the spring of 2016. She and her siblings were found under an abandoned home at just 2 weeks old. Melanie (age 2) and Annabelle (age 1) were ecstatic to pick out their new favorite family members. Instead the most amazing cat with the perfect patch over her eye picked us. Both girls took time out to bottle feed and play with them since day one. In the beginning, Bernadette was the grumpiest kitten that ever existed. She reminded Annabelle of a grumpy old lady so the name Bernadette fit her perfectly. Bernadette added love to our family in a way we never knew we needed. She knew when we were sick. She felt it when we were sad. She would come over for cuddles when we needed it the most. Our perfect Bernie never went to sleep without baking us the most amazing biscuits at our feet. Bernie, thank you for providing us the most amazing 9 years ever. We will ALWAYS love you. Don’t worry, we’ll sleep with Gertrude and take good care of her. Until we play again, baby girl.
